hp designjet 750c plus errors

Generally when you get three errors like this they are related. You say the demo plot works fine. Does it work fine all the time? I would doubt it. One area which is overlooked but could be an issue is the trailing cable. The carriage assembly has to send signals back to the main board and if the trailing cable is bad those signals get messed up. Also check the encoder strip for dirt or missing lines. The position of the carriage is determined by the encoder strip. The best way to check the movement of the carriage assembly is to turn off the power and then you can move it by hand. Move it from left to right and right to left and it should move smoothly with a little friction. If you hit bumps it could be the belt is defective or you may have crud from the belt on the pulley or motor shaft. If movement is very tight it could be the rails need lubrication. The best is triflow oil which you can get from a cyle shop. Thru the menu you can test the drop detector.
