2002 Dodge Sprinter Fuel Filter Installation Manual
2002 Dodge Sprinter Fuel Filter Installation Manual. This document is based on my experience with a 2002 Sprinter, and created because of the lack of manuals for the Sprinter in the US that reflects basic maintenance guidelines. The pros, no doubt, have better ideas. But this is what I have learned; and I did enough mistakes to give others a heads-up if they want to try this normal maintenance function. The 2004 Sprinter has a redesigned (and much more expensive) fuel filter. And, of course, this is all at your own risk.Because of the design of the bracket holding the filter and the location of the fuel lines, sensor and drain valve on the filter, there is a definite order of disassembling the fuel filter.Sprinter Fuel Pump Repriming
2003 Dodge RAM Truck Service repair Manual
This service repair manual is for your 2003 Dodge RAM Truck. You can find various information on this repair manual ebook that will help you to repair your Dodge. The graphic symbols illustrated in the following International Control and Display Symbols Chart are used to identify various instrument controls. The symbols correspond to the controls and displays that are located on the instrument panel. Fasteners and torque specifications references in this Service Manual are identified in metric and SAE format. During any maintenance or repair procedures, it is important to salvage all fasteners (nuts, bolts, etc.) for reassembly. If the fastener is not salvageable, a fastener of equivalent specification must be used.
The metric system is based on quantities of one, ten, one hundred, one thousand and one million. The following chart will assist in converting metric units to equivalent English and SAE units, or vise versa. When service is required, Daimler Chrysler Corporation recommends that only Mopart brand parts, lubricants and chemicals be used. Mopart provides the best engineered products for servicing Daimler Chrysler Corporation vehicles. Lubricating grease is rated for quality and usage by the NLGI. All approved products have the NLGI symbol (Fig. 4) on the label. At the bottom of the NLGI symbol is the usage and quality identification letters.

Changing the Air Filter on a Dodge Sprinter Manual
Note that the Sprinter Service Manual states that the heat shield should also be removed to make room for the air filter housing. However, that is not necessary. The trick: Wiggle the top around so that the hump is between the windshield washer and the interior fan casing, and bring the flanges up over the heat shield and headlight frame. The picture shows the angle to aim for. Slide out the top.several places on this heat shield and the one between the muffler and the body of the van to dampen the aluminum shields pinging sounds from heat expansion and cooling contraction.) Clean out the supply side of the air filter housing. I found a shop vacuum was the quickest. Install new filter, and replace the top of the air filter housing. Careful on the reinstallation, as the lower left corner often hangs up on the electrical harness located near that corner. Reinstall the spring clips, air mass sensor and air feed line.DC offers as an option an air flow indicator to inform owners of when to change the air filter. It is located on the top left of the air filter canister. Even though my old filter (the lower one in the picture above) appeared to be dirty and had 28,000 miles on it, the air flow indicator showed no problem. So what to believe? Other members of the Yahoo Sprinter Group also report bafflement as to whether this feature works.
